Sectional dismantling is the technique used to remove a tree piece by piece, rather than felling it in one go.
How it works
Working from the top of the tree downwards, branches and sections of the main stem are cut and, where necessary, lowered using ropes and rigging rather than being allowed to fall freely.
When it's used
- Trees close to houses or other buildings
- Trees near fences, sheds or greenhouses
- Trees overhanging neighbouring gardens
- Trees near roads, cars or overhead cables
- Any location without a safe felling direction
It's a slower and more technical process than open felling, but it's what makes it possible to remove large trees safely from restricted gardens. Call Herring on 07780 727385.
